Recycle Old Shoes in SF

I just took 3 pairs of old sneakers over to Fleet Feet in SF and they happily accepted them for Nike’s recycling program. They said that they actually take any type of shoe, except if it has steel in it.

So next time you have battered old shoes that are not suitable to give away, don’t throw them in the landfill — recycle them!

For SF folks, the only place accepting shoes for recycling is Fleet Feet in the Marina District. In other cites, google to find out who in your area is participating in Nike’s program.
